How do I add friends and family to my viewers list?
Adding friends and family is easy. Once you have set up your account and logged into Knocking.
Tap Viewers. Then Tap the two faces plus icon located in the upper right hand corner. Then in the search field type your friend or family members username, first name or last name. Then tap on the person you would like to knock and add them as a friend or family. This will send a request to them. Once they approve you will be able to start knocking.
What if my friend doesn’t have knocking?
To knock, your friend will need to download Knocking. You can invite your friend to download Knocking at the iTunes app store. Simply search for knocking.
Can I save pictures from people’s albums during a session?
Yes of course. While in a session you can tap on the save disk icon located in the bottom left hand corner.
Where do my saved pictures go?
Your saved pictures will be saved to your knocking album so you can then knock others instantly. These pictures are also saved to your Apple camera roll so you can back up these pictures by syncing to iPhoto.
What if I forget my Username?
Launch your Knocking App. Then tap Login. Then tap Forgot Username. This will automatically load your username. If you are still having issues logging in email development@knockinglive.com
What if I don’t have an email address?
You can get a free email address at mail.google.com.
Why do I need to provide my email address?
Email is important for your profile and for your knocking account. Please be sure to enter a valid email address.
Why can’t I talk to someone while knocking?
Using the phone and knocking at the same time relies on carrier coverage. There are several connections over 3G and Wifi for talking while knocking. Latency will vary depending on the network or internet provider while talking and knocking.
Why does my entire album get sent when I knock on someone’s phone?
There are two ways to knock:
The first is by tapping on viewers, choose a person to knock and then tapping share an album. This will knock the entire album choose.
The second is to tap on knocking albums. Then choose an album. Then tap each photo you would like to knock. Next select a person from friends or family to knock. This lets you choose 1-100 pictures to knock manually.
How do I turn Facebook connect on?
You can set up facebook connect when you first sign up or you can do at anytime. Select the settings tap located in the upper right hand corner. Then tap Facebook connect setting to on. You will be asked your facebook username and password. Then tap and connect.
Why don’t I need to login every time I start the app.?
We believe in speed and ease of use. This is why we allow you to login in one time and keep you logged in, unless you decided to log out. To do so you need to tap on the settings tab in the upper right hand corner. Then tap logout.
Does anyone have access to my pictures?
No. Just the people you knock. They only have access to the pictures you choose to knock and only during a live sharing session.
Why can’t I connect with my viewers?
Coverage and connections may vary depending on the AT&T 3G network and/or your internet provider. Knocking will not work on the AT&T Edge network. Latency is subject to the carries network coverage.
What happens if I get a new phone?
You will need to set up a new username or you can email us at development@knockinglive.com requesting us to reset your username and send instructions on restoring your existing username.
How do I take a photo in knocking?
You can take photos inside knocking. Tap on knocking albums. Choose an album you would like to take a photo in. Then tap the camera plus icon located in the upper right hand corner. Take photo
How do I take an instant photo?
Tap on viewers. Select a person to knock. Then tap take instant photo. Once you snap your camera button you will be asked to use photo. Tap use and it will instantly knock.
What if my head isn’t pointy enough?
Simple do good, have fun and be pointy.
How do I knock with people who don’t have an iphone?
We are working on bringing knocking to all mobile phones. Follow us on Twitter to see our releases of additional platforms such as android, blackberry, and others.
How do I get pics into my knocking albums?
Easy. Tap on knocking albums. Then tap an album. In the upper right hand corner tap the camera plus icon. Then tap choose existing photos. This opens your photo albums in your iPhone. You can then tap on each photo you would like to add.
Why do I sometimes get black screens when I’m swiping shared pics?
These screens come up due to network latency or internet provider traffic. They will disappear and the pictures will arrive depending on the network.
What do I do after I’ve selected pics to share?
Search for friends. Invite friends and family. Start knocking your friends and family.
