To avail the scheme, you will have to apply online or offline through your district agriculture officer. You will have to provide details such as your name, address, land area, crop type, etc. You will also have to pay a nominal fee for the installation and maintenance of the solar fence.
The government will provide 80% subsidy for small and marginal farmers and 60% subsidy for other farmers for the scheme. The remaining amount will have to be borne by you.
The government has proposed to increase the budget for the scheme from Rs 75 crore to Rs 350 crore in this regard. The scheme was initially launched in Bundelkhand region in 2020-21, but now it will be extended to all parts of the state.
