What is Agniveer Vayu Scheme?

Agniveer Vayu is a scheme that offers a short-term service of four years in the Indian Air Force to candidates who have passed 8th, 10th or 12th class from any recognized board. The scheme is open for both male and female candidates who are unmarried and meet the age and physical criteria.

The Agniveer Vayu scheme is different from the regular recruitment process of the air force, as it does not require any written examination or interview. The candidates are selected based on their marks in the qualifying examination and their performance in the online test conducted by the air force.

Indian Airforce Agniveer Recruitment 2023: Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for the Indian Airforce Agniveer Recruitment 2023, candidates must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria as per the notification. The eligibility criteria include the following aspects:

Indian Airforce Agniveer Recruitment 2023: Selection Process

The selection process for the Indian Airforce Agniveer Recruitment 2023 consists of three stages:

  1. Online Test
  2. Physical Fitness Test
  3. Medical Examination

Online Test

The online test is the first stage of the selection process and is conducted by the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC). The online test consists of multiple-choice questions on general awareness, reasoning, numerical ability and English language. The online test is divided into two parts:

Part A: This part contains questions on general awareness, reasoning and numerical ability. There are a total of 50 questions in this part and each question carries one mark. There is no negative marking in this part.

The duration of the online test is one hour and the candidates have to score at least 50% marks in each subject and 50% marks in aggregate to qualify for the next stage. The online test is conducted in English and Hindi languages.

Indian Airforce Agniveer Recruitment 2023: Training

The candidates who are selected as Agniveers in the Indian Air Force have to undergo a training period of 10 weeks to 6 months depending on their trade. The training includes basic military training, trade-specific training and on-the-job training.

The basic military training is conducted at Belagavi in Karnataka and imparts basic knowledge and skills of military discipline, drill, weapon handling, physical fitness, first aid, etc.

The trade-specific training is conducted at various technical training institutes (TTIs) across India and imparts technical knowledge and skills related to the respective trade.

The on-the-job training is conducted at various operational units of the air force and provides practical exposure and experience of working in real-life situations.

The candidates who successfully complete their training are awarded certificates and badges by the air force. They are also assigned ranks and posted to various units of the air force according to their trade and merit.
