A LinkedIn post by an AI start-up founder in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, looking for “exceptional humans” to join his core team has generated buzz online. The post humorously seeks individuals willing to work with “zero salary, no weekends off, or vacations.” The entrepreneur later clarified that the viral post was meant to be satirical.
BatteryOKTechnologies’ founder and CEO, Shubham Mishra, posted a job posting on a professional networking site last month, stating that he was looking to add someone to his company’s “core team.”.
Mishra listed the “perks” of the position after emphasizing that he favored former founders from Israel, India, or the United States.
“No pay at all. He stated, “We are looking for long-term people to join us” in the second point.
The second LinkedIn item stated, “No weekend offs or vacations. (unless truly required).”.
“No joining gifts or excessively ornate offices. (We don’t waste investors’ money; we respect Laxmi,” Mishra declared, adding that the business is using artificial intelligence (AI) to transform the energy sector. (Actual Moonshot)
The entrepreneur assured that those joining the start-up will experience “unlimited fun creating genuinely innovative products (not imitations).”
The job posting also sparked widespread discussion on Reddit. One user questioned, “How is this not illegal?” while another insisted, “This has to be satire.” A third user agreed, expressing confidence that the post was meant as satire.
Mishra confirmed, “There is indeed a satirical element. The purpose was to filter out unsuitable candidates. We are building a company for the long term and are looking for dedicated individuals who can grow with us over the next 50 years.”
