Objective of CG Mukhyamantri Swalpahar Scheme

The primary objective of the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister’s Swalpahar Yojana is to provide nourishing meals to children studying in government schools. It acknowledges that several families in the state face financial challenges that hinder them from providing nutritious food to their children. As a result, the health and education of these children suffer.

This scheme aims to encourage regular school attendance by providing students with both education and nutritious meals. It began in Sukma district, benefiting around 17,000 children, and is planned for expansion throughout the state.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district is set to implement the Mukhyamantri Swalpahar Yojana across 681 primary schools. This initiative aims to provide free meals to children. The scheme encompasses students from Class 1 to Class 5, ensuring that all children in these classes receive nutritious meals.

Initially, the Chhattisgarh government has launched this scheme in Sukma district, benefiting around 17,000 children. However, there are plans to gradually expand the program across the entire state. By focusing on providing free meals to students in government primary schools, this initiative seeks to address issues related to child nutrition and promote regular school attendance, ultimately contributing to the overall development of the students.
