MP Balram Talab Scheme 2023
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chowhan 2023 launched the MP Balram Talab Scheme 2023 to solve the problems that farmers experience during irrigation due to lack of water. Under the scheme, farmers are provided grants for constructing ponds and canals.
In addition, irrigation equipment is also made available to farmers. The scheme is implemented through the Agriculture Department. Under the scheme, the Agriculture Department has a target to benefit maximum number of farmers at the block and district level.
Under the scheme, up to 75% financial aid is provided to farmers, who come under the lower income group, to help them construct ponds and canals. If the cost of constructing ponds and canals exceeds Rs. 1,00,00, the additional expenditure is to be borne by farmers.
Under the scheme, up to 40% grant is provided to the general category farmers, which is maximum Rs. 80, 000. If expenses exceed the upper limit, the extra expense is to be borne by farmers.

The main objective of the scheme is to solve the irrigation problems that farmers experience due to lack of water during drought. The government provides grants to farmers to build ponds and canals through this scheme. Rain water can be collected in the constructed ponds so that if needed, farmers can use this preserved water for irrigation during drought or less rainfall.
Beneficiaries will not have to face any kind of irrigation problems due to lack of water. In addition, they will get sufficient amount of water for their land. Due to this, it will boost up production of agro products and also increase farmers’ income. As a result, it will bring improvement in the level of farming.

MP Balram Talab Scheme 2023: Eligibility
Ø The applicant farmer must have a land of his own to get the grant under the scheme. The grant will not be provided to those farmers who do farming on a leased land.
Ø Under the scheme launched in the state in the financial year 2017-18 and thereafter, farmers who have installed drip or sprinkler sets in their agricultural lands can construct a pond in their lands and this field should be in working condition to get the benefits of the scheme. Verification of the land will be conducted by the Conservation Survey Officer.
Ø The applicant farmer must be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh.

Madhya Pradesh Balram Talab Scheme 2023: Eligibility Criteria
Ø First, you need to visit the official website of Madhya Pradesh Balram Talab Scheme 2023.
Ø The Home page will open on your screen. Locate “Apply for Grant” section on the home page. In this section, you need to go to “Through Bio-Metric”. You will see the application form.
Ø Fill out the form with required information such as, District, Block, Village, Gender, Farmer, Class, Holding, Category, Agricultural Equipment, Scheme, Adhaar Number, and Mobile Number.
Ø After this, enter other information such as, Selection of Bank, DD Date, DD Number etc. DD Letter, Khasra Letter and Caste Letter need to be uploaded.
Ø Next click on Terms and Conditions.
Ø Submit the form and you are now done with the application process for the scheme.
