Rajasthan Gargi Puraskar Scheme 2023
Under this scheme, girl students who will secure 75% marks or more in their Class 10 exam at the secondary level and get admission in the next class will get Rs 3000 as prize money from the Rajasthan government. An amount of Rs 5000 will be awarded to the students who will secure 75% marks or more in their class 12 standard exam.
To get the prize money, students must take admission in class XI and class XII. Students not taking admission to class XI, will not qualify for the scheme even if they have scored 75% marks or more in their 10th standard exam.

Rajasthan Gargi Puraskar Scheme 2023: Objectives
There are many girl students in Rajasthan who cannot pursue their studies due to their poor financial condition. There are many families who discriminate between boys and girls and don’t want to educate their daughters much. In view of the discrimination against girl children, the Rajasthan government has launched this scheme.
The main objective of Rajashthan Gargi Puraskar Scheme is to promote education for girl students and help them become independent. Under the scheme, girl students will be awarded prize money for securing a good percentage (already specified).
Rajasthan Gargi Puraskar Scheme 2023: Benefits
Ø The benefits of this scheme will be given to the girl students studying in 10th and 12th standard in Rajasthan Education Board.
Ø The girl students of Rajasthan will be awarded Rs 3000 prize money for securing 75% or more in 10th Standard and will be awarded Rs 5000 prize money for securing 75% or more in 12th standard.
Ø The scheme will promote girls’ education.
Ø More and more girl students will feel encouraged to pursue higher studies through this scheme.
Ø The prize money awarded under the scheme will be given to the girl students by cheque.

Ø The applicant must be a permanent resident of Rajasthan.
Ø The applicant must secure 75% or more in her class 10 or class 12 exam.
Ø Girls of all categories can avail the benefits of this scheme.

Rajasthan Gargi Puraskar Scheme 2023: Few Necessary Instructions Related to Online Application
Ø The application form will have complete details related to the girl applicant, such as where she studied and where she is currently studying.
Ø The application form will have the girl applicant’s bank details and attachment of the first page of her bank passbook or a soft copy of cancelled cheque The attached file should not be more than 100 KV and should be in PNG/JPG format.
Ø The girl applicant must have a bank account in her name.
Ø 10/12th mark sheet
Ø The application form must be filled in English.
Ø The applicant will have to complete the form carefully because no change is allowed after form submission.
Ø After submitting the application form, the applicant will receive a number on her mobile via SMS. This number needs to be saved for future references.
Rajasthan Gargi Puraskar Scheme 2023: Selection Procedure
Senior Class
Ø As you all know, girls are provided incentives by Girls Education Foundation for securing good marks in their board exam and class.
Ø This incentive is given through Gargi Award.
Ø Gargi Award is provided to girl students in Junior and Senior category.
Ø Girl students, who have secured 75% or higher marks in the entrance examination, will be eligible for Gargi Award in senior category.
Ø The list of girl students, who have scored 75% or more marks in their board examination, is obtained from the Board of Secondary Education.
Ø The list is sent to Girls Education Foundation.
Ø The incentive amount will then be distributed among the girls every year on the day of Basant Panchami through the District Education Officer of the district.
Ø The department is entitled to decide the place where awards will be distributed.
Ø Next, the concerned District Education Officer will informs the eligible girl students about the place for award distribution.
Ø A form needs to be filled up by the eligible student, which is to be certified by her school Principal and to be submitted to the District Education Officer.
Ø Eligibility for the award is certified through this form.
Ø Under this award scheme, incentive amount will be provided in instalments.
Ø The 1st instalment will be given to those students who have obtained 75% marks or more in the entrance examination and continued their education in the next session.
Ø All the girl students pursuing their studies in Junior Upadhyay will receive the second instalment. However, girl students, who have discontinued their education, will not be eligible for the award.
Junior Category
Ø The girl students eligible for Gargi Award in Junior Category should be the students of eight board examination conducted by the Sanskrit Education Department.
Ø The award will be given to only those students who obtain the similar marks at Panchayat Samiti Level and District headquarters level.
Ø The names of the students will be sent to the Girls Education Foundation by the concerned Divisional Sanskrit Education Officer.
Ø After this, testing will be conducted by Girls Education Foundation to identify eligible girl students.
Ø Next, the list of the eligible girl students identified by the Girls Education Foundation and the prize money will be sent to the District Education Officer.
Ø District Education Officer will distribute the money among the eligible girl students.
Ø Gargi Puraskar Junior Category incentive amount will be given only to those girl students who are studying in class 9. The first installment will be provided to students when they are still studying in class 9.
Ø If the student pursues her education in class 10, she will receive the second installment as a part of the Gargi Award Scheme.
Ø If a student discontinues education, she will not be eligible for receiving the prize money.
Ø Students in both Junior Category and Senior Category will have to submit a certificate from the head of the institution to prove that they are studying.

Ø The girl students of Rajasthan, who want to apply offline, should visit the official website of Girls Education Foundation.
Ø The Home page will appear on the screen. Click on Awards option.
Ø After that, go through the guidelines related to Gargi Award.
Ø After you click on Awards option, the PDF of Gargi Puraskar Application will appear on the screen. Download the application form. Take out a print of the downloaded form.
Ø Enter the details asked for in the application form.
Ø Submit the filled-up application form at the concerned department. In this way, you can apply offline.
