Unleashing the Power of Good Governance

Hon’ble CM Shri Bhupendra Patel highlighted the remarkable culture of good governance established under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He emphasized the unity between the people and the government in their collective efforts towards inclusive growth. Gujarat has emerged as a beacon of progress, with various government schemes, such as Nal Se Jal Yojana, Ayushman Card, Widow Pension, Ujjwala, and Swachh Bharat Mission, significantly improving the quality of life for its residents.

Financial Security for Shramyogis

The Antyodaya Shramik Yojana aims to provide financial stability to workers in the event of accidents or death. By offering comprehensive health coverage and affordable insurance, the scheme empowers laborers to become self-reliant. Under this groundbreaking initiative, workers registered under the e-Shram portal in Nadiad will be eligible for its benefits. In case of accidental death, the family will receive a generous amount of Rs. 10 lakh, while the worker will be compensated with the same amount in case of permanent disability. Additionally, the deceased’s children will receive educational assistance of Rs. 1 lakh.

The Digital Revolution and Financial Inclusion

CM Shri Bhupendra Patel commended the Post Department for its remarkable efforts through the Gangaswaroopa Scheme, ensuring door-to-door outreach to beneficiaries. The visionary approach of Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi has propelled India to become a global leader in digital payments, with 40% of the world’s total transactions being conducted in the country. Even small businesses like tea kiosks and vegetable vendors have embraced digital payments, exemplifying the transformational journey of “Mera Desh Badal Raha Hai” (A transforming India).

Expanding Horizons

Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Communications Shri Devusinh Chauhan expressed gratitude towards Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel and acknowledged the visionary ideals of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, who championed the need for laborers’ welfare. The Union Minister revealed plans to establish over 5,000 post offices nationwide, enabling maximum outreach for the affordable insurance scheme. Furthermore, the data of 28 crore shramyogis will be collated to extend the benefits of the Antyodaya Shramik Suraksha Yojana to more individuals, including the general public.

Celebrating Success and Recognizing Achievements

At the launch event, 11 beneficiaries of the scheme received certificates from the India Post Payments Bank, symbolizing the tangible impact of the welfare initiative. Additionally, two beneficiaries of the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana were honored with certificates of merit. The outstanding contributions of Gramin Dak Sevaks in the Kheda district were also acknowledged and celebrated.

A Bright Future Ahead

As Gujarat paves the way for revolutionary welfare initiatives, the state remains committed to providing dignity and financial security to laborers whose hard work propels India’s unparalleled development. The Antyodaya Shramik Suraksha Yojana signifies a significant step towards empowering shramyogis and fostering a society where every individual can thrive.
