American multinational tech giant Apple will launch Series 9 of its smartphones. However, analyst predictions and recent leaks highlight that the new watches are unchanged versions of 2022 models. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Series 9 will be, without any doubt, the least upgraded thing in the product’s history.
Nothing New?
The new Apple Watches are believed to bring new colours and a faster chipset. But that seems to be the only new thing to be available on the upgraded version. Those, who already have a 2022 Apple smartwatch, will find little reason to upgrade. The most disturbing thing is the same story is repeating itself every year, which has pushed Apple echelons towards a serious discussion among themselves. They have reportedly decided to stretch out time between two upgrades and bring more notable upgrades.
It is more likely that Apple will continue with their tradition of yearly release, most probably in an effort to take people away from other smartwatch brands than to seduce Apple watch users for a yearly upgrade.
Apple plans to call the 10th generation of its smartwatch “Watch X”. Unlike Series 9, Apple X is going to be the biggest upgrade in the history of Apple smartwatch, according to Gurman. It tracks watchOS, a basic rethink of wrist-worn OS from Apple. However, watchOS 10 is not a one-of-a-kind feature to the 2024 generation though will be added to older watches as well.
Apple has other plans up their sleeves
Apple has plans to make a thinner case for Watch X. It is the first time that the company will bring a new plan regarding how the wristbands get attached to the case. The current system is spacious and hence, could have gone with battery, according to insiders. Apple is considering a magnetic apartment system. However, it is unlikely to be launched in 2024.

It needs a mention here that Cupertino has been trying to develop a blood pressure sensor for the last few years and might bring it in the market in the next year.
