The trailer of Bambai Meri Jaan is out on Amazon Prime Video. The video of the crime thriller series starring Avinash Tiwary and Kay Kay Menon was released yesterday. The series revolves around Mumbai’s (then Bombay) underbelly during 70s.
Expectedly there is a lot of gang rivalry and bloodshed in the movie to make it a true depiction of the underworld drama.

Menon has essayed the role of an honest police officer. Unfortunately, his son Dara is a misguided youth who has slipped into the darkness of underworld. The two characters take the centre stage. In multiple twists of the events, Dara decided to confront the big names in the underworld in the Shujaat-Saudagar movie.
The trailer starts with Menon’s voiceover, “In the nature of the Universe, evil begins from good. Even the Devil was his own creation. I am merely a father.” The clip then gives glimpses of crimes, gunshots, chaos and corruption in the streets of 60s’ Mumbai.
In the three-minute trailer, Menon is shown trying to educate his children and fighting the gangs. However, Dara (Avinash Tiwary) nourishes the ambition of becoming Mumbai’s boss as a ruthless gangster.
The trailer captures Dara’s ascendance to a cold-blooded criminal from a wicked teenage boy. The movie tracks how a simple boy like Dara becomes a misguided youth as an adult and dreams to conquer Mumbai.
Dara starts his chequered career as a local goon for a big gun. Soon after burning a gym, he gets entangled in the dark web of the underworld.
A character played by Kritika Kamra gives Dara good advices after learning that he has decided to rule Mumbai as a don while Dara’s father Menon tries to bring him back from the brink of ruin.
“In the city of dreams, there was a man who dreamt to rule it #BambaiMeriJaanOnPrime, trailer out now!” Prime Video India wrote while sharing the trailer on Instagram.
Created by Shujaat Saudagar and RensilD’Silva, the series is an Excel Entertainment production, owned by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. The series features Amyra Dastur and Nivedita Bhattacharya.
The web series will be coming on Amazon Prime Video from September 14.
