Those in economically weaker sections, Scheduled Castes, and Scheduled Tribes also get a 25% subsidy. Subsidies go up to 30% and even 35% for certain general caste citizens. The highest subsidy, up to 40%, is available for SC, ST, and EWS category beneficiaries.

Cost of Setting Up Poultry Units

  • Category A Cost: For Category A beneficiaries, the cost of setting up a poultry unit is Rs 3 lakh, and they receive a subsidy of Rs 75,000.
  • Other Categories: Beneficiaries in other categories have a cost of Rs 3 lakh and receive a subsidy amount of Rs 90,000 at a rate of 30%. For parent poultry and poultry layer units with a cost of Rs 4 lakh, general caste citizens get a subsidy of Rs 1.40 lakh, while citizens of other castes receive a subsidy of Rs 1.60 lakh.

Subsidy in 5 Installments

Under the Chhattisgarh Poultry Promotion Scheme, beneficiaries undergo physical verification before receiving subsidies. The government provides these subsidies through bank loans in five installments, ensuring that the support is distributed gradually. For instance, a general caste beneficiary establishing a unit of 10,000 poultry can receive a maximum subsidy of Rs 7.20 lakh under this scheme. Similarly, beneficiaries from other castes can get a maximum subsidy of Rs 14.80 lakh in five installments.
