Information about EPFO SSA Recruitment 2023
EPFO SSA Recruitment 2023 is a recruitment process for filling up 2859 vacancies of stenographer (group C) and social security assistant (SSA) posts in the EPFO. The candidates who are interested and eligible for these posts can apply online through the official website of EPFO or NTA. The online application process will start soon and the last date of online application will be 30th April, 2023.
The candidates who apply for these posts will have to appear for an online examination which will consist of two phases: phase I (preliminary) and phase II (main). The candidates who qualify in phase I will be eligible for phase II. The candidates who qualify in phase II will be called for a skill test (for stenographer post) or document verification (for SSA post).
The candidates who clear all these stages will be selected for the final merit list based on their performance in phase II. The selected candidates will be appointed as stenographer or social security assistant in the EPFO with a pay scale of Rs. 25,500-81,100 per month.
Eligibility Criteria for EPFO SSA Recruitment 2023

The candidate who wants to apply for these posts must be a citizen of India. The candidate must have passed 12th class or equivalent examination from a recognized board or university. The candidate must have a speed of 80 words per minute in stenography in English or Hindi (for stenographer post) or must possess a degree from a recognized university or equivalent as on the closing date for online registration of application i.e. 30th April, 2023 and must have a speed of at least 5000 key depressions per hour for data entry work (for SSA post). The candidate must be between 18 to 27 years of age as on 30th April, 2023. However, there is a relaxation in upper age limit for reserved categories as per government rules.
List for the stenographer exam pattern:
- The exam will be conducted online.
- The questions will be of multiple choice type.
- Each question will carry 4 marks.
- There will be a total of 200 questions for 800 marks in the exam.
- There will be a negative marking of 1/4 for each wrong answer.
- After qualifying in the exam, you will be called for a skill test.
- You will be given a total of 2 hours 10 minutes or 130 minutes for the exam.
