On September 28, 2023, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Minister for Women and Child Development Vishwajit P Rane gave sanction orders to 3000 South Goa District beneficiaries under the Griha Aadhar Scheme 2023. The Directorate of Women and Child Development’s Griha Adhaar programme provides financial supports to all of the homemakers of the state so that they can be financially independent and manage their own requirements.

Furthermore, the plan will work towards increasing the standard of living of the beneficiaries’ families. The beneficiaries’ bank accounts will receive financial help directly. The recipients enjoy complete freedom of taking decisions regarding how to use the financial aid. They can use this fund for education or start a new business.

Ø The applicant’s gross income must be less than 3 lakh rupees.

Ø If a widow with a young child receives benefits through the Dayanand Social Security Scheme introduced by the Directorate of Social Welfare, Government of Goa, she is eligible for receiving the financial benefits under this scheme.

Married women whose husbands hold regular employment in any of the following organizations are exempted from the benefits of Griha Aadhar Scheme 2023:

Ø The Goa State Government, its autonomous organizations or corporations that receive the State Government funding

Ø Scheduled Banks (Co-operative banks are exempted) subject to real income in such cases

Ø The State Government or Indian Government or any of its Autonomous Bodies or Corporations

Griha Aadhaar Scheme 2023: Selection Process

Ø Candidates’ selection will be based on the eligibility requirements.

Ø Scrutiny of applications will be based on the eligibility requirements.

Ø For a particular academic year, minimum 15, 000 candidates will be selected as the beneficiaries of the scheme.

Ø Applicants must belong to a socially disadvantaged background in order to be selected for the benefits under the scheme.

Ø First, visit https://goaonline.gov.in/, the official website of the Griha Aadhar Scheme

Ø The Home page will open on your computer screen.

Ø Log in to your account after successful account registration.

Ø Click on the Service tab.

Ø A new page will appear on the screen.

Ø Click on the Directorate of Women & Child Development.

Ø Complete the questionnaire regarding eligibility requirements to access the application form.

Ø Fill out the application form with the required details.

Ø Click on ‘Save’ button. Next proceed to pay.

Ø After a successful payment, the application is sent to the department for processing.

After form submission, an email and an SMS will be generated to acknowledge receipt of the application. Take a note of the acknowledgement number for applications.
