What is Mother’s Kitchen?
Mother’s Kitchen is an initiative started by the Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM) to help self-help groups (SHGs) in the state run catering businesses under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM). The initiative will bring these businesses together and give them the name “Mother’s Kitchen.”
The objective of this initiative is to provide quality food services to various customers such as government offices, schools, colleges, hospitals, events, etc. The initiative will also help the SHGs to generate income, create employment, and improve their skills and capacities.
The initiative was launched by Chief Minister Pema Khandu on July 5, 2021. He also handed over seed money of Rs 75 lakh for its different units which will engage women and promote local business as well.
What are Ekta Malls?
Ekta Malls are another initiative launched by the Chief Minister Pema Khandu on July 5, 2021. The objective of this initiative is to establish three malls – one each for eastern, central and western zones of Arunachal Pradesh – to foster a sustainable and inclusive environment for socio-economic progress.
The Ekta Malls will provide a platform for the local entrepreneurs, artisans, farmers, and SHGs to showcase and sell their products such as handicrafts, handlooms, organic produce, processed food items, etc. The Ekta Malls will also provide various facilities such as cold storage, warehousing, packaging, branding, marketing, etc. to help them enhance their quality and value.
The Ekta Malls will also promote the culture and tourism of the state by displaying its rich diversity and heritage. The Ekta Malls will also create awareness among the people about various government schemes and programs.

- Submit the application form and take a printout of it for future reference.
- Alternatively, you can also visit the nearest office of the ArSRLM or DMMU or BMMU or CSC and submit the application form along with the required documents.
